Our commitment to health, sanitation and safety

March 13, 2020

At Lashes & Lace Makeup and Hair, the safety of our clients and team is a top priority not only during this time of heightened concern regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19), but every day and at every booking. We did however want to take this opportunity to share about our sanitation practices and extra precautions we are taking to ensure everyone stays healthy during this time.

What we are doing (at least but not limited to the following):

  • We are monitoring updates and recommendations from scientific organizations (including but not limited to the CDC, WHO, and epidemiologists).

  • Artists’ and assistants' hands and tools, including all makeup brushes, are washed and sanitized with sanitizer containing 62% or higher alcohol prior to each booking and re-sanitized between each client.

  • Cream products are always scraped from their containers with a spatula and used on a sanitized palette.

  • Powder products and workstations are misted with sanitizing spray containing 62% or higher alcohol prior to each booking and between each client.

  • Disposable applicators are always used for mascara and liquid lip products being applied directly from the product packaging.

  • Our team has been retrained on all the above sanitation practices as well as in thorough and frequent hand washing.

  • Artists and assistants have been instructed never to come to work if they experience fever or any coronavirus symptoms.

  • Artists and assistants must wear face masks (outside of quick breaks away from others to breathe and hydrate), and may also choose to wear disposable gloves while working for the safety of themselves and others.

  • We are working with booked clients to reschedule their events due to government quarantines and travel restrictions.

Please note for all event bookings:

All makeup and makeup tools/brushes are kept sanitary and are sanitized between each makeup application. Lashes & Lace and representatives reserve the right to refuse service to any person that may compromise their health or sanitary conditions of our products and tools, or who do not provide a safe, clean, sanitary, clutter-free and smoke free, working environment per artist.

We respectfully request that any clients, as well as their friends and family members, who may be experiencing symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19) or who may have come into contact with anyone infected with the virus to please decline hair and makeup services and also to refrain from entering our working area during any booked events. Due to the personal nature of our services, this is a necessary precaution for both the health and safety of our team as well as others we may come into contact with. As stated above, our team has the right to refuse service to any person who may compromise our health and safety as well as that of other current and future clients, particularly those who are elderly and/or immunocompromised.

Please contact me if you have any further questions. Your health and safety are always at the core of our commitment to you today and every day.
